Training methods used & main activities

The program was carefully designed to fulfill its main objective: enhancing youth workers’ skills in digital content creation to raise awareness about the European Youth Goals and promote European Values.

The group of participants included a balanced mix of both newcomers and experienced youth workers in the area of digital media. The project followed a structured, step-by-step approach tailored to the participants' learning needs.

Using non-formal education methods, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of photography, storytelling, video production, meme creation, social media strategies, digital content development, and the European Youth Goals.

All activities were rooted in non-formal learning methodologies, allowing participants to explore topics in an engaging and creative manner. A balanced combination of theory and practical exercises gave them both a broad understanding and the freedom to discover their own personal style in digital content creation.

Each day concluded with reflection sessions based on non-formal education principles. In small groups, participants shared experiences, gave feedback, and discussed their learning journey. These discussions created a safe and supportive environment that fostered open dialogue, helped identify challenges and successes, and encouraged participants to take ownership of their progress.

A key element of the training was promoting collaboration. Every participant was encouraged to actively contribute to the group’s learning, exchange useful practices and tips, and strengthen the team dynamic through mutual support

Outcomes of the activity

The training aimed to empower youth workers with the ability to produce digital content that promotes awareness of the European Youth Goals and European Values. Key outcomes of the project included:
- The production of photos, videos, memes, scripts, and short films as part of the project activities
- Participant-created short films focused on the European Youth Goals
- Enhanced understanding of digital content creation and communication tools that support active citizenship
- Strengthened collaboration and networking among participants, paving the way for future international initiatives

On the final day of the program, participants showcased their short films during a public Movie Night event. In the follow-up phase, they continued spreading awareness by conducting video interviews at the local level to further promote the European Youth Goals.
