Aims & objectives

This project was based on simple fact that with rise of technology people started struggle more with basic communication and presentation skills. This is also supported by lack of this competences in school systems. So our aim was to address this and help people develop their communicational and presentational skills.

We invited organisations that work with youth and would be able to duplicate impact of this training later on, so there was already long term engagement for our partner organisations which also lead to importance of selection right participants.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Target group was selected on main criteria: youth or youth workers, 18+, willing or wanting to work with youth and disseminate this project in their countries, with connection to their sending NGO.

Countries: CZ, Armenia, Belarus, Greece, Lithuania, Spain

Team: Lukas Zajicek (CZ) Main Trainer, Aneta Bednarova (CZ) co-trainer
Michaela Musilova (CZ) A1 coordinator, Nazareth Peral A2 coordinator

Training methods used & main activities

Methods used for this training were from improv theatre mostly with a few activities that are general non-formal exercises. Since the main aim was to develop their personal soft skills all the exercises were done by them with reflection what they learned.

Examples: Communication methods with 4 colours of markers, in the group create strategy for communication without speaking. Presentations skill where they presented in front of everyone and we recorded them so later on they could watch it.

Outcomes of the activity

Thorugh the activities that were delivered in this project we achieved development of the participant's communicational skills. We cover interpersonal, presentations as well as self communication. We received positive formal evaluation as well as positive feedback from participants.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

My role was main trainer and methodologist. I created the idea for the project based on my experience within school system. As a trainer I was responsible for day to day program and preparation of materials and activities as well as preparation of team and taking care of participants.

I worked on this training for 6+5 days as a full time trainer.
