Aims & objectives

Aims and objectives of the course were:
–Learn how to identify and develop competences wanted by laboural market with the
youth work aproach.
–Learn how to use board games as a tool of non formal education to promote participation
and learning of disadvantaged youngsters.
–Learn how to create board game and create our own board game as a result of the
project.
–Develop strategies that foster integration of disadvantaged youngsters and motivate
them to be active citizens.
–Improve and promote de quality of youth work with youngsters with fewer opportunities
through innovative and creative tools.
–Develop gamification in the youth field through board games.
–Share realities in different cultures and countries in order to learn from each other
and create common strategies.
Participants were Youth Leaders and Youth Workers from Youth NGOs

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Participants were from 6 countries: Lithuania, Estonia, Spain, Belarus, Ukraine and Armenia

Training methods used & main activities

In the morning we were using non-formal education methods in order to discover and discussed topic of youth employability, competences that are searched by labour market. In the Afternoon it was sessions about board games, with our expert from Poland, who is one of the most famous board games developer in Europe. Last 2 days participants were working on developing their own board games that further on they can use in their youth work.

Outcomes of the activity

Training achieved its aims and objectives and beside this the tangible result - 3 board games developed by participants

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Part of the team of trainers (we were 2 trainers and 1 expert on board games) - design, implementation and evaluation of the training programme.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
