“Let’s learn and built together” was a training course aiming to gather professional youth workers and youth leaders in order to share their professional realities and to improve the quality of Erasmus + projects to address young people's expectations and needs. The overall aim of the training course was to develop participants’ competences for implementing projects within the Erasmus+.
The specific objectives of the course are:
- to promote Erasmus+ projects as an educational tool;
- to explore the Erasmus+ Programme with a special focus on the quality of design, implementation and international cooperation;
- to understand the role of the Erasmus+Programme within a long term local strategy;
- to simulate the first steps of organizing a project in the youth field;
_ to develop participant’s competences in planning non-formal education and intercultural learning processes;
_ to promote youth participation and active citizenship as key elements when designing a European project.
The training course targeted 12 participants from 6 different countries (Italy, France, Turkey, the Netherlands, Germany, and Latvia).
Methods were based on non-formal education principles and combined theoretical units with practical learning, sharing of experiences and personal reflection.
Participants were invited to actively contribute to the training through dynamic and interactive sessions, workshops, teamwork tasks, simulations, case studies, debates, and round tables. In addition, peer-to-peer support and mentoring will be offered for the follow-up of the learning and the design of future projects.
Participants were able to design 6 project applications by the end of the training.
I have been the only trainer. I was in charge of designing the educational modules, proposing tools and methods and supporting participants in drafting their project applications during the simulation.
