Aims & objectives

This training course aims to equip participants to have a more inclusive approach in their (youth) work. It will be a helpful resource for participants to be vulnerable in a safer space, where being open is embraced.

Instead of focusing on differences emphasize connections were emphasized: with yourself, with other participants and within your respective communities.

The trainers team was composed of the following members:

Training methods used & main activities

A great variety of non formal methods were used with the concept of Dragon Dreaming in the center.

Outcomes of the activity

The training course had the following outcomes
Creation of an inclusive (short term) community among ourselves;
Exploration of the challenges and limitations of “inclusion”;
Trying out Dragon Dreaming project design to support yourself and to make a change in your community;
Looking at systemic discrimination and how to challenge it in youth work;
Supporting the participants in developing an action plan to take home so you are ready for the next inclusive steps on your diversity journey.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was working as a fulltime trainer for the entire duration of the event. I took part actively in all phases of the training, including preparation designing and implementing the program, evaluation and folllowup.

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
