Aims & objectives

- Nurture, support and strengthen the leadership capacity and resilience of CSO representatives and activists who are operating in changing and/or volatile circumstances
- Bring together CSOs and activists working in the fields of human rights, LGBTIQ rights, women’s rights, children’s rights, minority rights and other rights based focus, from the Western Balkans and Turkey to share experiences working in various contexts
- To share and develop tactics and strategies for defending rights in challenging contexts

Circle, World Café, Open Space Technology, Pro Action Café, Appreciative Inquiry, Collective mind-mapping, The Art of harvesting

Outcomes of the activity

• Management training: leadership capacities, teambuilding, strategic planning, communications
• Working in changing/volatile circumstances: elements of conflict transformation and human rights, human rights tactics, skills for conflict transformation and community mobilisation
• Long term support: building resilience and coping mechanisms, peer-to-peer support as well as mechanisms for self-care, self-management and dealing with trauma
• Networking: connecting and sharing experiences with counterparts in different countries and with different backgrounds
