Aims & objectives

Aims
1. To train prominent members of each participating organisation, as to improve their leadership capabilities.
2. To allow for the organisation’s members to get to know each other better, as to uncover possible new or better ways of cooperation.
3. To enrich the skills of the trainers, by designing and delivering materials together with trainers from different organisations.

Objective:
• Providing a platform where international student organisations can exchange their best practices and experiences.
• Understanding application of leadership and its diversity
• Motivating young people to engage themselves in international activities.
• Enhancing intercultural dialogue among youth.
• Increasing the awareness about the Youth in Action Programme among student organisations.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Internationally minded members of 20 student organisations member of the Informal Forum of International student Organisation
There were 60 participants from 20 student organisations and various countries divided in units of 11/12 and 2 units per session, 3 sessions in parallel per topic. Teams were made of people from different organsations and countries to maximise the mixing.
There were 13 Trainers.

Outcomes of the activity

By the day of today,
- Training Handouts
- 3 joint Train-the-Trainer event each involving 2 organisations among participants and at least 3 among trainers.
- Entrepreneurship Winter School, a spin off project under construction
- Leadership Forum: http://leadership.findtalk.net/
- At least 10 participants became Trainers within their organisations

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

- I was responsible of the design of the Presentation Skills and Conflict Management sessions
- Trainer during the event, responsible of training material supply and communication with local organisers
- Responsible of the follow up process:
* Forum quoted above
* Setting up guidelines for individual mentoring of the trainers

I worked on this training for 10 days as a full time trainer.
