Leadership Development - Community Solutions Program

Aims & objectives

Design and facilitate a multi-day training program for fellowship participants on topics of leadership development, such as communication, conflict management, public speaking, and strategic planning.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Over 100 participants including youth from 90 countries from all regions of the world participated in this summit.

Training methods used & main activities

Participatory, inclusive, and universal design approaches were used. A planning committee composed of a selection of participants helped create the agenda and facilitate certain sessions. The trainings were highly interactive and accessible to every participant.

Outcomes of the activity

The training was a success due to the connections that were made, the growth that occurred in the participants, and the excellent feedback we received. We also followed up with participants months afterward and heard of the impressive follow-up actions they took and partnerships that stemmed from the training.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I served as acting project director and lead trainer. I worked full-time as a trainer and facilitator.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
