Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

I was working with Joanna Jedrzejczak, trainer and coach, under the coordination of Dana Soloenan. The group was consisting of participants representing 8 different nationalities, which was stimulating multicultural reflection, and trans-cultural awareness.

Training methods used & main activities

Whole training was dedicated and exploring three main competences referring to resonant leadership: - emotional intelligence - social intelligence - cognitive intelligence.
The programme was resonating with needs of participants, so even though general flow of the programme was kept, methodologically there were many adaptations.
Each day was designed in a way to enable participants personal discoveries in three dimensions: intrapersonal, interpersonal and management. It that sense participants were developing personal, social and cognitive competences, needed in order to become a resonant leader for the youth at risk of exclusion.
Each person individually completed whole process of Intentional change theory, revealing its phases during whole process:
Ideal of self
Real self here and now
Learning agenda (filling the gap between 1 and 2)
Experimenting (with new behaviour, attitude, etc,)
Resonant relationships
Each day was divided into two parts. Morning sessions always interpersonal and personal work, and afternoons, more management site and cognitive dimension. For each part of the day there was responsible different trainer, mornings were held by Dagna Gmitrowicz with supervision of Joanna Jedrzejczak, and afternoon sessions were held by Joanna Jedrzejczak and supervised by Dagna Gmitrowicz. .
During the 4Th day we visited two institutions which we considered as good practice in the area of working with groups with fewer opportunities.

Outcomes of the activity

As there was individual reflection strongly recommended, supported by personal journals, participants were invited to evaluate whole process in terms of methods and approaches used during the sessions, moreover, participants were invited to share their highlights in smaller groups and discuss them in details, which fostered learning how to implement new methods and innovative ideas in participant’s field of work.
Thanks to two study visits, especially one in Association Słysze Serce, where participants could experience workshop led by people with less opportunities (physical disabilities) could gain a better understanding of working with people in risk of exclusion and how they integrate in a team. The final circle (council) showed how participants got empowered to act as multipliers in field of youth inclusion.
So, summing up, participants developed skills in coaching, facilitation and reviewing in theory and practice to the extend they were ready.
