TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

-Know the basic principles of social networking to connect with their target audience;
-Use social media tools to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and scope of their work;
-Create attractive web content and increase the online presence of the organization;
-Develop and evaluate a communication strategy that combines the major social media networks and tools;
-Recognize the importance of intellectual property issues, security and privacy in relation to social media.
The organizations that have participated have need to understand the social medias and its importance in promotion of their activities and as well in making social changes in their countries and in Europe in general.
On this TC we had 5 countries :
- Spain,
- Macedonia,
- Bosnia and Herzegovina,
- Serbia,
- Latvia.
From each country we had 4 participants or in total 24 participants, experts and support staff.
The target group have been youth leaders and project coordinators.
We have used non-formal methods such a working in mix groups, role play games, round table, etc. We also worked directly on different social platforms and we created promotion tools for the social change. The learning by doing is used for work on the social medias.
Participants discovered the possible pitfalls of using social media, learned appropriate netiquette, and look
at examples of how to best construct and spread their messages to get results via non-formal creative workshops.
With help of practical group and individual exercises blogging, micro-blogging,
document, image and video sharing applications, social networks and social
bookmarking will be explored.

The participants and trainers posted information about social change about training and etc.
We created a videos and posted information every day.
In the evaluation the participants also recognized the course as a full success.
