Aims & objectives

Aim: To enable young people to be more conscious members of the society by being able to criticise what they read, hear or watch in the news and to take effort to analyse an issue from different point of views.

The objectives:
1) To improve youth workers competences in media literacy
2) To deepen youth workers’ understanding upon the meaning and effects of fake news
3) To provide youth workers with tools and methods upon how to identify fake news
4) To equip youth workers with the skill of debating in an open manner
5) To deepen youth workers’ understanding upon non-formal education and how to utilise it in media
literacy education.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

30 youth workers from Denmark, Italy, Spain,
Croatia, Germany, Romania, United Kingdom, Hungary, and Turkey
