International Spring School Ecology

Aims & objectives

General overview of ecological topics and critical attitude to the related ideas expressed throughout the world.

Familiarity with ecology on different levels – person, community, region, state, etc.

Correspondence of ecological knowledge to the participants, which may be used in their projects and future life.

Allowance to come the knowledge and the experience from inside the group with a specific application to the region.

Creation of a good group dynamics and good atmosphere.

Correspondence of the content part in a way as interactive and amusing as possible but also with essential background on the topic.

Development of project competences of the participants according to democratic values and principles of the Theodor Heuss College of the Robert Bosch Foundation and the MitOst Association.

Preparation of project applications for the further work in the course of the year.

I. ROLES OF MARATHONIA – ECOLOOGICAL ROLE PLAY

Targets
1. To make clear that the decision-making process in the world is not a simple task: The higher the level of negotiations is the more dependent on the final decision is on a plenty of factors and persons/organisations.
2. To learn searching for arguments for the support of the personal point of view.

II. “CLOUD ATLAS“

III. BALKANVISION PROJECT CONTEST 2013 (Original idea by Sergey Tereshenkov - ST, implemented by Jovana Lopičić - JL - and ST)

In the first half of the day, the participants got familiar with the rules of the presentation:

1. Max. 3 minutes for the presentation
2. Free choice of the form of the presentation (computer, picture, gestures, or other)
3. Two parts – a short (performing) one, which should be showed as an example by one of the trainers, and a longer one with description of goals, tasks, slogans, sponsors, etc.
4. Official clothes, comfortable for the specific presentation

Outcomes of the activity

Deeper knowledge of the participants about ecological topics and critical attitude to the related ideas expressed throughout the world.

Overview of ecological attitudes on different levels – person, community, region, state, etc.

Impact of ecological knowledge on the projects of the participants implemented in the course of the year 2013.

I worked on this training for 9 days as a full time trainer.
