The training activity took place
in Ključ, Bosnia-Herzegovina
organised by Dinara Forum (DFDA)
23rd – 31st of March 2012

Aims & objectives

The seminar was aimed to bring together project leaders and coordinators, trainers and youth workers from programme countries and neighbouring partner countries to discuss working experiences and strategies of NGOs in their work with youth within the field of European Citizenship Education and Youth participation in order to give new impulses, to share possible ways to break the issue down and to come up with creative ideas and support for practitioners in the international youth field.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Project leaders and coordinators, trainers and youth workers from programme countries and neighbouring partner countries from SEE and EECA.

Training methods used & main activities

The methods used were based on the principles and practise of non-formal education taking into account the needs, motivations and previous experiences of the participants. Further the seminar provided space for debate, for individual and group reflection, and encouraged the exchange of best practices.

Outcomes of the activity

The seminar was used to reflect approaches, concepts and concrete tools, based on non-formal education with a special focus on those projects and activities which were implemented since 2007. The seminar provided the occasion to share experiences, to foster sustainable and equivalent partnerships, to support capacity building, to contribute towards inventive projects by exploring new working methods and strategies, to improve the quality of future projects and to develop further activities.
