Aims & objectives

a) Creating a common understanding about what is transition between childhood and adulthood.
b) Bring attention to emerging issues that the youth workers may face when working with young people in transition (like ambiguity, youth worker as role models, identity…)
c) Reflect about the way youth workers deal with the 4 dimensions (bio - psycho - social - spiritual) of personal development in their work with their target group.
d) Offer a place to discover and share tools, ways, activities, methods… to support young people in their transitions.
e) Create space for the participants to reflect what changes they want to make in their work as youth workers in supporting young people in transition processes.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Group: 17 participants from AT, DE, ESP, FI, FR, HU, IS, IT, LT, MT, PT

Composition of team of trainers: 4 trainers from AT, CZ, ESP, HU

Training methods used & main activities

simulation exercises, discussions, reflections, Way of the Council, Learning Space Dynamics, On-line expert input, presentations, group work, Solo, experiential learning exercises, creative exercises (movement, painting/drawing), video energisers and other energisers, walk and talk method

- Individual plans of involving rituals into the work of participants

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Preparation, implementation and evaluation of the programme. I was specifically co-responsible for the experiential part of the ritual, the body movement work and the contextual introductions into the transition and rituals

I worked on this training for 5 days days as a full time trainer.
