Aims & objectives

Aim of the project is to raise awareness about such socially important issues as gender equality, minorities rights and bullying (including cyber-bullying) through making escape rooms, as well as understanding how to use escape rooms as a learning tool.
Objectives:
• To raise awareness and spread ideas about socially important issues and human rights protection among participants, partner organisations and guests of the training course
• To teach Youth workers and NGO workers how to organize escape rooms for educational purposes
• To equip participants with knowledge, skills and attitudes on new approaches to education, especially HRE
• To create toolboxes on escape rooms (with schemes, scenarios, puzzle explanation,

- Gamifying learning processes via houses competition

Outcomes of the activity

We achieved 3 main results during this activity:
1. We educated 24 participants of the training course on how to create educational escape rooms - 93% of participants responded in evaluation forms that they can build educational escape rooms and the remaining 7% responded that they "maybe" can build educational escape rooms.
2. Participants built 3 fully operational educational escape rooms on topics of freedom of speech, xenophobia and domestic violence. These rooms were built in 3 days. We had these rooms played by participants and guests 3 times with 4-5 people at each game.
3. We created 3 toolboxes with descriptions of escape rooms which can be found here https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1znTD2b2-DfKr3rAirMcD17Y2yImBzuuR?usp=sharing . Anyone who wants to build similar escape rooms has access to all the information needed.
