The Seminar aimed to present comics and visual storytelling as simple and effective approaches towards preventing cyberbullying and body-shaming. Participants learned to empower the victims of cyberbullying and online shaming, developed competences in empathy, positive thinking, and self-efficacy.

Youth workers, teachers, and social workers gained an understanding of the complexity of the digital universe, including social networks. They became aware of the pressures the teenagers feel to fit into; they developed empathy, social support and acquired effective tools to help adolescents in gaining safe online behavior.
Youth workers, teachers, social workers were:
- empowered to fight cyberbullying and online body shaming
- gained new knowledge about the causes and effects of cyberbullying and online body shaming
- understood the dangers and limitations of online communication
- gained empathy with the victims of online bullying and body shaming
- gained tools to create a safe environment for teenagers
- raised awareness about the role the Internet plays in the social life of youth
- raised personal and shared responsibility for privacy protection and defending online boundaries
- gained knowledge about effective interventions against cyberbullying and body shaming
- increased anti-bullying attitudes
- learned IT techniques and tools to prevent cyberbullying
My role was to present Comics and Visual storytelling as tools to prevent cyberbullying and body-shaming among young people. I have trained participants in trust-building and creating a safe environment for the victims or bystanders of cyberbullying phenomena.
