How to be more effective - International TC on networking

Aims & objectives

The TC was focused on improving the networking within the members of the European Network of Youth Centres. The main aims and objectives were: fund-raising - exchange of good practices and new ideas; how to make my Youth Centre more attractive for the young people; how to use more effectively the network to achieve the goals of my Youth centre.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The trainers team was comprised of 2 people. And the group was composed by youth-workers - representatives of the members of the European Network of Youth Centres. The following countries were represented: Bulgaria, Portugal, Slovenia, Finland, Greece, Slovakia, Turkey.

Training methods used & main activities

Interactive games, simulations and presentations, ice-breakers, work in small groups, discussions, self-reflection sessions, outdoor games, methods for sharing impressions, role-plays and more.

Outcomes of the activity

The general atmosphere of the training was very positive and there was a direct focus on cooperation and networking that was the main aim of the training. The TC managed to build a strong team and to support the further development of the network.
As a result of the training there were several new project ideas that were developed and are to be implemented in an international partnership.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

In this TC I worked as a full time trainer and I was responsible for developing the concept of the training and designing the programme. I was also delivering the sessions together with my colleague co-trainer. I also worked on the reporting and evaluation of the training.

I worked on this training for 4 days as a full time trainer.
