TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

The aim of the project was to connect young people from Germany and Rwanda who are enthusiastic about filmmaking and/or acting by getting them engaged in an mutual projects which combines high level movie production, media literacy training, civic and cultural education and intercultural exchange.
The ABC as an educational center has a focus on particaptory approaches to media production and representation.
The group consisted of 8 participants form Rwanda and 8 from Germany. The German group was especially diverse, as many participants were new Germans, only having lived in Germany for soem years. The team also consisted of Rwandan and German trainers.
Film and acting, biografical methods, and inetrcultal learning, language animation and creative workshops.
As part of the programm the group worked in a large film production. The film "Adamstown" features a mix of professional and amateur actors, and all the praticipants were part of it, either in acting or behind the scenes.
Organising group processes within exchange group, guiding through learning experience, designing and facilitating workshops around aspects of gender and diversity.
