TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Carles Cunill
To develop the awareness of belonging to Europe and through the use of digital technology to “link” common cultural heritages in Europe.
Target group; 12 persons from 10 EU countries, from 20 to 60 years old.
The trainers team was composed by Michele Colonna, Michela Frontino and me. And the logistic support of all the members of Associazione Link.
In the first part of the workshop participants were asked to present themselves, their context and their cultural background through antique photos which have been recovered from a local archive or personal collection. NFE activities was giding all the process from beguining. Following this, guided by professionals, the participants proceeded with the archiving and the digital treatment of photographic materials given by the public library of Altamura.
The participants gained skills and knowledge of the physical conservation and archiving of antique photos creating an on-line photography archive. Through the recovering of the historical memory documented by the old photos participants came closer to the so called “minor history” and by exercising their active citizenship they consolidate their sense of belonging to Europe.

I was in charge of the activities related with intercultural dialogue and non-formal education, from ice breaking games, to energisers, and evaluations. Working together in the activities design with Michele Colonna and Michela Frontino who was focusing on technical part.
As Hidden heritage was a LLP Grundtvig - Workshop with a very technical focus on photo achieving, the convining with non formal education methods was a need for the project and it helped to the success of the learning process.
