Aims & objectives

The main theme is to find the ways how different cultures can peacefully live beside each other in multicultural societies; Also, assist young people how to develop tolerance, understanding and cordial interaction.
Objectives of the action were:
- To raise the awareness of young leaders and educators about the importance of intercultural education in accepting differences
- To analyze situation in participant countries, collect and exchange experiences of cohabitation in multicultural environments.
- Assist youth to combat phobias and stereotypes, this way make them prepared to become later multipliers of positive approaches at their local level.
The project worked to build up a network among partner organizations for implementing future activities in the field of intercultural relations

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

We were 2 Trainers and 18 participants coming from 9 countries:
Italy, Georgia, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbajan, Slovenia, Albania, Lithuania and Czeck Republic.

Training methods used & main activities

The training used non-formal educational activities, presentations, mini seminars, discussions, simulation games, individual and team working, visit to natural and cultural sights, intercultural and sport activities.
We worked with the existing experience of the participants, provide space for sharing their knowledge, and guided to new experience within the sessions.
The meeting encourages acquaintance with each others cultures, traditions, and lifestyles.
We strongly encouraged participants to bring presentation of their countries that will respond the topics of the training.

Outcomes of the activity

The feedback that we received from participants confirmed our expectations: the TC was a success and we created a wonderfull group dynamic also through the activities.
Follow up: the most remarkable outcomes to mention are the new Erasmus+ projects to apply soon and the new NGOs which will be created after the inspiration coming from the week together.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I worked full-time and I was the only International Trainer.
I planned and implemented all my sessions which covered the 70% of the agenda.

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
