Aims & objectives

The Training Course Getting GLocal aimed at building active European Citizenship with a Global perspective through:
-- Promoting Global Education with, for and by young people as an educational approach to develop strategies for working on environmental issues at local level.
-- Fostering creativity and innovative projects promoting European Citizenship with a Global perspective.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Target group: 20 international youth leaders, educators and multipliers working directly with young people and coming both from Formal and Non Formal education sector.

Training methods used & main activities

The course was designed to create the space were participants experience and reflect upon activities and concepts central to global education. Reflection on the methodological aspects were specially addressed to develop strategies for working on environmental issues at local level.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants gained competence on environmental impacts of their activities, gathered motivation and inspiration to continue inquiring about their daily consumer choices, and community participation.

My role was to co-facilitate the training and deliver basic training in environmental activism /campaigning.
