● To increase the understanding of the concepts of democracy and active citizenship.

● To explore the opportunities of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme to better support active citizenship among young people.
International Youth Workers and Youth Leaders from Germany, Poland, Italy, Portugal and Bulgaria.
The team was composed of a colleague from Portugal/Italy and from Bulgaria.
Non-formal learning & experiential learning methods like roleplays, learning exhibitions, mini-workshops, group discussions and reflection tools.
The participants used the training course to question the level democratic participation in their organisations. They developed next steps to enlarge the inclusion of young people in decision making processes. This led to more democratic structures in youth organisations and therefore fosters young people with democratic values and skills.
