Foster carers from a variety of nationalities took part.

Training methods used & main activities

Online training with quizzes, videos and group discussions. Quizzes about about what fostered young people had told us and videos of them talking about their experience. This led to guided discussions and thinking

Outcomes of the activity

Foster carers understood the importance of listening to the voice of children and young people and were better able to support the children and young people they were caring for.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I wrote the training, assembled all the videos (through working with young people) and quizzes and led the discussions with the foster carers.

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.
