Aims & objectives

"FLY - facilitating learing for youth" is an advanced training of trainers course for trainers in non-formal education and youth work.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

All 5 "FLY training courses" were international events. Each "FLY" training course had a tleast 20 participants from at least 10 different countries. The target group are trainers and facilitators in non-formal edeucation and youth work. The team always comprised of four trainers in varying constellation, but the two founders of "FLY" - Giorgi Kakulia from Georgia and me - were always on board.

Training methods used & main activities

The whole toolbox of non.formal education: drama methods, working groups, simulations, lab-phase, various forms of assessment and feedback, ...

Outcomes of the activity

The anonymous evaluations forms by the participants, the oral feedback given by participants, and also the future life path chosen by the partipants, clearly indicate that "FLY" strongly contributed to their personal and professional development, not only as trainers and facilitators, but also regarding life skills such as communication skills and learning to learn.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Giorgi Kakulia and me are the founders and main persons behind "FLY". We both are the main facilitators/trainers, we are in charge of hte concept, the development, the quality, the facilitation and the outcomes of "FLY".

I worked on this training for 5 X 7 days days as a full time trainer.
