Aims & objectives

The seminars main goal was a reflection of gender roles being reproduced in mainstream media and film industry and how that influences our every day being, interaction and politics. In trying out different roles which were filmed also by the participants, the students also had a chance to learn about film making.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The group consisted of a Dutch, a German and an Italian group, each accompanied by a team of teachers.

Training methods used & main activities

Theatre and acting methods, World cafe, film making, outdoor activities for group processes, biografical methods, different methods for large groups, warm-up and energizers.

Outcomes of the activity

The students produced 4 films with mixed up gender roles. From the first hand experience of acting/seing the typcial Male/female attributes played out by someone who odesnt normally identify with it was very impressive.
