Aims & objectives

Objectives:
- Develop understanding of non-formal education principles and their role in learning mobility projects;
- To develop understanding of quality in learning mobility and introduce tools that can help inmaintaining it
- To improve participants’ professional competences which will help them facilitate learning in all phases of learning mobility projects (preparation, implementation, evaluation, follow-up);
- Develop understanding of importance of reflectionin educational activities and provide participantswith the competence of guiding reflection processof youngsters: designing reflection questions and running the process;
- To improve participants’ competencies to adjust,adapt and create new methods based on non-formaleducation methodology;
- To create space for future Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps projects development and ensuring the quality of the projects through developing common understanding of learning mobility quality principles specifically connected to non-formal learning.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Participants were professionals and volunteers directly working with young people - youth workers, youth leaders, cultural workers, and educators. The participants came from Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Romania, Italy, North Macedonia, Spain, and Afghanistan (refugee background).

The trainers team was composed from Lithuanian and Polish trainers.

Training methods used & main activities

The activities of the training course were based on non-formal education methodological principles - experiential learning, group discussions, input from the trainers, interactive presentations, practice, reflection, working in groups, sharing experiences and good practices and learning from each other.

Additionally, the trainer team used meta-reflection, as a tool to explain principles of non-formal education.

Outcomes of the activity

Improved understanding of the quality principles of learning mobility, focus on learning in youth mobility projects (preparation, implementation, follow-up), non-formal education competency (understanding of principles, planning, implementing and evaluating educational activities), expanded variety of methods that they can use, will have an improved reflection guiding competency. This will impact their future work quality, inspire to take over new educational challenges, try out new approaches in everyday educational work.

co-designing, co-planing, co-implementing, and co-evaluating all the training activities throughout the programme. Working on the application and report of the project.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
