Aims & objectives

Delivering on-arrival training to young people who have arrived in the UK to undertake EVS activities for short-term projects (3 weeks to 6 months) and long-term activities (6 - 12 months) offering intercultural exchange, excersises & group activities around the YOUTH programme, culture shock, rights & responsibilities, living in the UK & citizenship.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish & UK team
Participants from all over the EU and often partners countries.

Training methods used & main activities

Interactive, Practical training participatory activities to engage young people and prepare them for active service volunteering or undertaking vocational experiences.

Outcomes of the activity

Confidence raised in participants, young people ready to work in a team and contribute to activities organised. YOUTHPASS or Europass mobility reflects the learning not just from the service activity but also from the preparatory activities. We also offer an informal evaluation with the group on completion of the training activity.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Co-delivering and facilitating the training alongside 1-3 other trainers depending on the size of the group which ranges from 5 - 30 young people

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.
