Aims & objectives

The EVS training cycles aims are to prepare the volunteers for their stay abroad in terms of life experience, objectives, conflict management, self-assessment, intercultural and learning experience, language,...). One of the aim is also to evaluate the EVS experience after the volunteering experience.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The target groups are youngsters from 18 til 30 coming from all over the world. They are volunteers in France for several months. What they expect from the TC is more to feel more self confident, to know more about the ESC programme and France and to reflect on their own goals and experience.

Training methods used & main activities

World café, open forum, theatre of oppressed, identity molecule, SMART aims, moving debate... All the activities we use for those TC are participative and the content mostly come from the volunteers themselves.

Outcomes of the activity

The TC allow the volunteers to be ready to live their experience in France. After each training, we ask the pax to fill out a form and we send the results to the French NA. It seems that the volunteers feel more confident about their EVS because they have different tools to face some difficulties. The main criteria is the news we got from the volunteers.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team
