EVS - Reflect and Act! ((Supporting EVS coordinators in building quality and accessibility in their projects))

organised by Polish, Czech and Slovak national agency

Aims & objectives

This seminar aimed to bring together EVS coordinators from Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary and countries of Eastern Europe and Caucasus (SALTO EECA )and create an inspirational learning space for exchange of experience and good practice.

We wanted to support quality and accessibility of EVS projects through supporting EVS coordinators both in their personal and professional development.

The overall aim of the EVS - Reflect and Act! seminar was:
• To support quality and accessibility of EVS projects
The specific objectives of the EVS - Reflect and Act! seminar are:
• To create an inspiring learning environment for EVS coordinators for sharing good practice, inspiration and motivation
• To strengthen competencies of EVS coordinators (both professional and personal)
• To improve capacity of practical realisation of EVS projects in the frames of Erasmus+ and to provide up-to-date information about the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme
• To support contact and cooperation between organizations, to establish international partnerships

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

37 EVS coordinators from EU and non-EU countries

Team: representatives of national agencies
Trainers: Anna Humniak, Jana Randa and Bára Rodi

Training methods used & main activities

The program included discussions and evaluations of changes in EVS projects in the Erasmus + programme, sharing of good practice among different organisations and countries and offered a great possibility for developing partnerships and networks.

The presence of officers from national agencies of Erasmus+ Youth in Action ensured the latest information and lots of questions being answered :)

For development of competencies and personal development of EVS coordinators there was a variety of workshops on topics such as communication, conflict management, prevention of burn-out etc. And also met, talked, shared and had fun! :)

Outcomes of the activity

The training had a very positive response both from the participants and from the organising national agencies.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Full time trainer
Responsible for preparation, implementation and evaluation of the seminar.

Some of the sessions I presented: DEOR and impact of youth activities, Prevention of burn-out for youth workers, Project Management Advanced etc.

I worked on this training for 4 days as a full time trainer.
