TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Katerina Boutsia
• Evaluate the overall EVS experience so far regarding the experience on different levels (organisation, local community, project activities, personal involvement, motivation)
• Strengthen the 'informal' network of EVS volunteers -which come mainly from the 'on arrival training’- hosted in different regions of Greece
• Give the volunteers an opportunity and space to share thoughts, good practices and self-reflect on their experiences gained so far
• Prevent and resolve problems and/or manage conflicts (where required)
• Focus on the learning outcomes of EVS projects and use YouthPass as a tool for
acknowledgement of their non-formal learning of volunteers and their key competences
• Get informed about further European youth programmes and opportunities and design possible future steps
There were 47 EVS participants currently volunteering in Greece who come from 20 different countries.
Team building activities, interactive and creative presentations of their EVS projects, group and pair work, plenary discussions, EVS café, EVS evaluation tools, outdoor activities, Self – assessment & Youthpass
Volunteers had the chance to
• meet, exchange views and reflect on their project and personal learning
• get wider knowledge of programmes and opportunities for future opportunities
• have deeper understanding of the self-assessment and learning process that leads to a Youthpass certificate
• experience techniques for problem solving, communication and conflict management
• share best practices and find common ground for possible joint future actions
• Observe the overall training process, take notes and give feedback
• Support the rest of trainers with their work
• Facilitate some sessions
• Contribute to the design of some parts of the programme
