EuroMed Spring Workshop for Youth Exchanges and Youth Participation

The training activity took place
in Kotka, Finland
organised by SALTO Youth EuroMed RC and Good Practices
19-23 May 2014

Aims & objectives

To raise the quality of youth exchanges, to discover and to increase skills, abilities and competences of youth workers in EuroMed context, and too increase impact of youth exchanges on youth.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

18 from EU Countries and 12 from MEDA Countries; total 30 participants have been participated. (Belgium - FR, Egypt, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Poland, Tunisia and Turkey)

Training methods used & main activities

• Homework: for a strong preparation before meeting
• aspects of Erasmus+ and EuroMed
• To share experiences of the participants in the frame of participation of young people in the process of a youth exchange: through templates and workshops
• How to make a youth exchange with active participation of young people
• Shape and design common project-ideas in team work
• Daily process; let's meet, let's prepare, let's share, let's learn, let's participate, let's have a taste of Finnish culture.

Outcomes of the activity

10 projects have been developed and 32 project ideas have been discussed during the training. 6 workshops and 17 experiences shared by pax.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was the member of the international trainer team which composed 3 trainers. I was the responsible of the preparation phase of participant online and collect the homeworks (NGO and Experience Templates)
During the TC, I was responsible of welcoming, team building, youth exchange timeline, NGO and Project ideas bazaar, daily evaluation-reflections and general evaluation of the training course. After TC, I took care of the project monitoring and collecting the documents related project ideas.

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
