Aims & objectives

EuroChangeMakers campaign aims to:

- engage over 300 citizens from all project participating countries in National civic hackathons aimed at discussing, reflecting, and proposing concrete solutions for the future of Europe;

- create an informal network of 100 young EuropeanChangeMakers (ECM) from all project participating countries that are leading by example;

- organize a European civic hackathon gathering over 100 participants from all project participating countries aimed at discussing, reflecting, proposing concrete solutions for the future of Europe, and presenting them to at least 100 European and National stakeholders in the format of a White Paper.

- publish and promote EuropeanChangeMakers platform, connected with the social media feeds of the #euroCM hashtag, bringing together all the content created in the project: vlogs, opinions, regional best practices, solutions for the ‘Future of Europe’ and the ECM informal network.

At French level:
After a 30 pax hackathon held in France, create a team of 7 EuroChangeMakers, engage them in the European campaign to be ready to meet the 17 other country teams for a European Civic hackathon in Bucarest in July 2022.
The team has to contribute to the campagn by posting on social media contributions related to european civic topics for youth on all topics they feel relevant for their generation.

The goal is to raise awareness on european challenges for the future of Europe.

Training methods used & main activities

Main activities of the project:

- online kickoff meeting, 11-13 May 2021;
- National Civic hackathons in all 18 participating countries, September - October 2021;
- communication campaign: ECM in action, November 2021 - June 2022 (ongoing);
- European Civic hackathon in Bucharest [RO], 6-8 July 2022.

Outcomes of the activity

Expected outcomes :

- an informal network of 100 EuroChangeMakers (ECM);
- 18 national hackthons and 1 European hackathons on civic engagement debating the Future of Europe;
-1 digital platform aggregating the contents produced in the project (including social media);
-1 White paper published diseminated to relevant policy-makers (90 national, 30 European level).

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

French trainer and coordinator for the French EuroChangaMakers participants:
- Set up and coordination of the French Civic Hackathon
- Coordination and facilitation of the French ECM campagn in France (engagement, follow-up with the organizing NGO, GEYC (Romania).
- Team support and coordination in Bucharest of the French team
- mentor during the hackathon in Bucharest

I worked on this training for 6-8 July 2022 days as a full time trainer.
