Aims & objectives

the project aiming at addressing the root causes of racism, xenophobia and extremist ideologies in their home countries

Throughout the Moot we will utilize the participants’ personal experiences in encountering racist and extremist expressions in their home countries, and through creative and narrative methods facilitate them to find solutions to inter-group tensions from those; we will also benefit from the rich experience of our partner organizations in facilitating inter-cultural exchanges and interactive learning processes.

Eventually we hope to be able to increase the participants’ understanding of the construction of “otherness” and the several psychological and social factors that contribute to the inter-group tensions.

so that at the end of the Moot we have reached the conclusion that where open dialogue between different ethnic, cultural and language groups is facilitated and mutual trust built, the prejudices disappear, tensions ease, and the racist and xenophobic expressions lessen.
