- To meet, network and exchange first experiences with other participants
- To create common understanding of ESC objectives, principles and rights and responsibilities of all persons/organizations involved
- To explore how they can foster ESC priorities (solidarity, inclusion and diversity, Environment and fight against climate change, digital transformation, participation in democratic life) in their ESS projects and life in general
- To clarify questions related to participants’ projects and to explore what it means to be a (ESC) volunteer
- To provide guidance on conflict prevention and dealing with challenges
- To enhance the communication, cooperation and problem solving skills
- To raise awareness of how culture influences ESS and to stimulate cultural adaptation & inter-cultural learning among participants
- To raise awareness about needs assessment and improve project management skills
- To raise awareness about organizational culture and stimulate process of adapting to a foreign working environment
European Solidarity Corps volunteers who were in the beginning of their ESC activity in Croatia. Participants were from Italy, Ukraine, Poland, Turkey, Palestine, Bosnia, Spain, France and Germany
Non-formal training methods: group building activities, experiential learning exercises, group discussions, simulations, theatre, etc.
Participants had the opportunity to network with other ESC volunteers in Croatia, get knowledge of their rights and responsibilities as ESC volunteers and develop skills in areas such as interpersonal communication, problem solving, intercultural learning, self-directed learning and more
I was one of the two trainers on this training. I was actively involved in preparation and delivery of the training.
