Training course for youth workers on how to design non-formal entrepreneurial educational programme in order to support young people to start their own entrepreneurship activities and to build their personal brands
to enter the labour market.
24 youth workers from Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine and Moldova, working in youth organisation or linked to the youth field, experienced in organising educational activities for youth,
who are willing to develop innovative practices within the field of youth entrepreneurship on national and international level.
All activities was focused on using non-formal education approach, also some outdoor activities will be part of the training course to train your competences as youth worker.
The training was designed to tackle the needs of the participants and their organizations to increase their entrepreneurial competence development inside the organization – how to improve their sustainability, create their own social services and build long-term collaboration.
To ensure the training has a real impact on participants, it was included a wide spectrum of methods and approaches. Considering the different learning styles of people, we will make sure that the methods chosen provide a good balance of opportunities for different people and are as interactive/involving as possible.
An important part was also sharing of experiences and learning from each other. Untraditionally, the participants will be both participants as well as facilitators of the learning process at different points. As part of programme, new and innovative methods/tools will be worked out, which will be a valuable contribution to youth work, which is often suffering from the same activities and methods.
Based on experiential learning principles, emphasis will be put on reflection and evaluations to ensure that participants have increased their competencies and will later be able to apply the experiences gained during the project and share them with wider communities in their home countries.
From the training course participants learned:
• from and about good practice examples of youth organizations in entrepreneurial educational programmes;
• to use non-formal education for entrepreneurship competence development;
• how to use different entrepreneurship education tools working with young people;
• to develop new educational project ideas together with other youth work professionals from other countries;
• to test your idea of entrepreneurial educational programmes by implementing it in your local reality.
To work on teambuilding and create an environment where the trainers and participants are in the best possible mindset to learn from the trainers and other participants, to create a framework where participants will learn and share about their particular knowledge and experience, and be creative and innovative in developing solutions to the issues presented during the project.
