Aims & objectives

The project “EMPOWERING YOUNG LEADERS” was a training course created for 30 youngsters, mostly aged 18-30, who wish to become or consolidate themselves as empowering young leaders.
We also deal with the topic by creating useful items like bags, games, musical instruments, accessories, ecc. out of wasted materials during the workshops. I use creative recycling as a tool to be open to new, open to difference and create uniqueness in expression of creativity and design.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The program involved program and partner countires as well.
It was a training course with Estonia, Turkey, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Hungary and Italy.

Training methods used & main activities

I used experiemental learning, what is the base of nonformal educational methods. I have been using methods of working in smaller, and bigger mixed nationalities groups. Also I used workshop as a nonformal educational method.
Moreover, outdoor for team bulding and several shorter group meetings where participants were working on their learning goals with a facilitator from the team.

Outcomes of the activity

Outcomes were visible already during the proram as on day 10 they have organized an open workshop in the city. They have been activly involved locals. They have organized the program and the activity for the morning. They taught un upcycling method to locals. (Tetrapak wallet).
After the program each partner organized a creative recycling workshop and also a video has been prepared!

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was the head trainer of the program. What I did, that I put togother the program elements so it gave a whole.
I gave briefning to the team everyday twice. Also I led the sharing and evaluation sessions in the big group. I have been delivering workshops, lectures about basic design theory and I did introduction about the materials what we were working with. I have been cooperated with the local organizers as well concerning logistics. I have been looking after safety as well.

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
