Aims & objectives

Employees, Get Ready Training Course was implemented within the project 'Future Impact Makers' - a long term project where we aim to equip youth workers with methods and tools to tackle youth unemployment. The training course was the first phase of the project where we focused on the topic of employability. Participants shared best practices and gained new knowledge on the topic and learned about the current challenges of the labor market. They developed personal and professional skills that can support them in their work, practiced facilitation skills and developed their own educational materials as well.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The activity involved youth workers, teachers, trainers, social workers from 6 countries: Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Poland and Hungary.

Training methods used & main activities

During the training course we used a diverse set of non formal educational methods. One of the main methods were creative recycling - a method that supports people to develop their skills while gaining new environmental attitude. We included in the program methods such as learning to learn, living library, world café, debate and many more tools which supported participants in their learning. We also supported them in developing their own educational materials and practicing facilitation.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants gained new knowledge on the topic of employability and shared best practices on the current status of the labor market and challenges young people face. They developed their personal and social skills - such as communication, problem-solving, sense of initiation, etc. They also developed their own educational materials and practiced facilitation which will support them in their future work with young people.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was one of the head trainers of the activity and was therefore responsible for the development of the program, the overall flow and the learning outcome of participants. I was mainly developing the program elements related to the topic of employability and recent trends of the labor market. I brought in knowledge and workshops on topics such as teamwork, feedback, leadership.

I worked on this training for 8 days as a full time trainer.
