Aims & objectives

The EGEA Team Management Training is organized annually at the end of each working year to prepare the next people who will take up an official mandate to help foster teambuilding and leadership skills in the organisation.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The training team consisted of 3 trainers, from Belgium, Croatia and Czechia.
The participants were from Switzerland, Croatia, Poland, Germany and Czechia.

Training methods used & main activities

Non-formal and engaging training methods were used throughout the program, with practical exercises, simulations, and brainstorms. For example, in the session on virtual collaboration, participants experienced a simulation game highlighting virtual communication challenges, which inspired the following brainstorm on challenges and strategies.
In the session on time-management, participants explored using the ALPEN-method to assess their own time-management challenges.

All session design was based on 4MAT.

Outcomes of the activity

The next generation of organisational leaders was prepared for their mandate. Everyone recorded a personal video with personal actions which was shared 6 months after the TMT.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

The training team consisted of 3 full-time trainers who worked on the event for 3 days and collaborated on the program outline and session design. I coordinated with the organisers from EGEA about past editions, and the needs and expectations of the organisation

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.

Testimonial of the reference person

The training session was well-structured, non-formal and invited us participants to fully engage and do some interspection. The trainers and Rhune were able to guide an international and divers group (both culturally and in terms of personality) through the training, so that each if us could gain new perspectives. I enjoyed the session and am thankful to Rhune and the team for the wonderful experience.
