Aims & objectives

Aim of the project was to educate participants about the violence and effective ways of preventing violence. Education was attended by participants from several countries, in order to exploit knowledge for work in their organization. During the training they created different methodology of work on violence prevention, applicable for each country.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Trainers who have worked at the training were from Croatia, Serbia, Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Participants have applied regardless of the country they come from, so that training was attended by participants from the following countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Slovenia, Croatia, UK, Turkey, Germany, Greece, Spain and Italy.
Target group for the training were youth workers.

Training methods used & main activities

Next methods were used: 1 Lectures (used to convey important information and knowledge); 2 Group Discussions (group, with help from trainers, came to conclusions during the workshops); 3 Role Playing (used for various situations in which youth leaders can be found); 4. Outdoor activities and games ( sets of outdoor activities, implying workshops and games served to raise energy among the participants, for example, Treasure hunt, etc.).

Outcomes of the activity

After the training, participants were given new knowledge about the field of work that they do, and have applied the same knowledge in their work. During the training, participants shared their experiences which resulted in signing agreements between organizations and youth workers from different countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I have worked as part of a team of trainers. All roles organizing sessions, lectures, etc. were evenly distributed among the team of trainers, so we all individually shared all roles given to trainers.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
