TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Kinga Karp
General aim was to introduce innovative non-formal education methods of working with youths to the teachers and educators working with youths in a formal education system.
The organistor (FERSO foundation) specialises in the non-formal education methods and within this project it was willing to share with European youth workers and teachers.
The objectives of the training were:
1. To share good practices of non-formal education methods among participants.
2. To promote equality and respect for human rights by using presented methods in daily work with youths.
3. To plan / write the agenda of participants’ own sessions based on the methods learned.
24 teachers, youth workers and pedagogues from Romania, Spain, Italy and Poland.
As it was a training on the non-formal education methodology, I was using only those in order for the teachers and educators to experience them before applying in the classrooms.
I focused on the anti-discrimination methodology, reflection tools, drama and forum theater and also human library method (teacher were inventing how to apply it in their classes).
The outcomes made by teachers and educators were their own programs on implementing what they have learned into their daily school work.
Within the project we also created a "Non-formal education brochure for teachers", available here in PDF:

I was responsible for developing the program and conducting the training sessions in English (translated to French).
I also made educational materials on non-formal education. Those materials were later used as a base for creating the project result - brochure.
