This is a reference for Kata Dietrich
The aim of the project was to prepare youth workers to future challenges that the labor market will face and equip them with tools and methods they can use with their own target groups in order to support them in their entrepreneurial skills - especially with a social focus.
In the program, 30 youth workers participated from 7 countries - the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Poland and Hungary and two trainers, including me. Participants were youth workers, teachers, educators and trainers who were motivated to learn and discuss about future challenges of employability and entrepreneurship and social impact and to learn new tools regarding this topics.
The main method that we used was creative recycling which is a nonformal educational tool, developed by ReCreativity Social Enterprise where participants learn how to create new objects, materials out of waste materials. This method was combined with a diverse range of non-formal educational methods, such as living library, improvisational theatre, simulation, gamification, outdoor, energizers, teambuilding activities and many other types of activities were included in the program.
Participants discuss issues regarding employability and entrepreneurship within the youth sector, shared best practices and developed their own personal and professional skills. They acquired new methods and tools regarding to the topic, and they also got the chance to develop and pilot their own educational materials.
I was one of the trainers during the training course, I participated in the whole process of the project from project writing to reporting. I co-designed the program of the training course, implemented most of the workshops and was responsible for the reflection and evaluation processes as well.
