E.V.S. On arrival Seminar

Aims & objectives

The Seminar was organised by Cypriot Eramus+ Youth N.A., there were 22 volunteers from 10 countries.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The target group was EVS volunteers, aged 18-30 years old. The main aim was to introduce the hosting country and the projects’ environment to incoming volunteers and to empower them so that they cope with the challenges that will occur during their stay and activation.

Training methods used & main activities

Group Dynamics to get to know each other but also to get acquainted with other actors related to the EVS programme in Cyprus (National Agency, trainers)

Creation of videos to support participants in further practicing the use of Greek language.

Using multimedia tools to create an “informal” volunteers’ network that will constitute a means for mutual support and exchange of experience during their project.

Outcomes of the activity

The successful outcomes are available to the Cypriot N.A. of Erasmus+ Youth, as all the volunteers filled in written evaluation forms.

I was one of the two full time trainers registered at TO.Y.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
