During October 2015 and December 2018 I was part of the team lead of the art group of CampusAsyl e.V.. Every Saturday, we organised diversity-orientated art workshops in the context of migration. By turn, we offered these workshops in the shared accommodation and cultural centers of the city to attract several target groups as people that migrated and visitors of the centers with the higher aim to connect these groups.
The workshop Discovering Diversity through Art was hold during the CampusAsyl community weekend and perfectly fit the organisations' goals.
Target group: People from CampusAsyl e.V. from Germany, Syria, Afghanistan, Eritrea, Burkina Faso, etc.
I was the only trainer.
Mindful observation, drawing, sketching, group discussion
The participants perceived each other as individuals and are willing to recognize diversity.
They got a questionnary to evaluate the trainig.
I was the only trainer and I wrote my Bachelor thesis about the workshop concept, the implementation its evalutaion and further ideas for diversity-related art workshops.
