Aims & objectives

To develop necessary capacity of all project partners to design and implement learning playlists in their countries.
To learn various tools on how to design and implement learning playlist will be presented, used and tested by the staff of the involved partners.
To create opportunities to collect feedback and later improve the tools and use them during the local and regional activities of setting up learning playlists.
To get familiar with the examples of technical solutions and to evaluate them in the respect to the needs for adaptations and improvements according to their realities.
To define the final technical specification for how the platform for hosting learning playlist should work.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

This staff training involved 22 staff members from all the partners of the strategic partnership. The participants were youth workers, social workers, project managers, trainers, acting in partner organisations. After the staff training, they will implement local training workshops and consultations, who will be preparing connected learning playlists.

Training methods used & main activities

1. Re-connecting with known people and welcoming new ones
2. Review of most recent developments with Maps of learning spaces in each partner region or town
3. Presenting the draft framework for development of connected learning experiences (XPs), resources, playlists and badges, exploring links with the Design pillars of the Connected Learning
4. Development of exemplary residential and online experiences (XPs), resources (R) , digital open badges and combining them into Playlists
5. Critical peer review and fine tuning
6. Presentations of created playlists and debriefing of the playlist development experience.
7. Designing training workshops for local organisations on playlist development
8. Presenting existing useful resources and identifying tools needed for supporting local workshops and playlist development.
9. Ideation session to express needs and collect ideas for the technical solution for creating learning playlists and ways the playlists will be integrated into the interactive maps of learning spaces.
10. Review of the next steps in the project and evaluation of the training

Outcomes of the activity

The participants of this staff training activity have learned about the Cities of Learning concept. They got trained in designing Learning playlist and how to us the platform for Cities of Learning.
