Aims & objectives

The aim of the training is increasing the capacity of youth workers to create sustainable results and powerful impact on personal and professional development of youth.

1. Developing competences that enable youth workers to work with youth on complex personal challenges, thus enabling them to reach their full potential.
2. Building and strengthening personal and professional vision, mission and values of youth workers in order to act as responsible members of the world wide community.
3. Developing the transferability and innovation capacities of youth workers in order to use and adapt new educational concepts, tools and methods in their own working environments.
4. Increasing the strategic thinking of youth workers in order to create long-term interventions for personal and professional development of young people.

Through the training course we answered the need of the youth workers to create impactful and sustainable learning environments.

The organization is very active in the field of youth work therefore the training it served also to the needs of the organization.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Target group:
22 Youth workers and youth leaders.
Partner countries:
Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, Poland.
Trainers team:
Eleni Michail (Cyprus) and myself from Romania.

Training methods used & main activities

The training course used methods of non-formal education and experiential learning. Methods included ice-breaking games, team-building activities, energizers, simulations, role-playing games, debate groups, small working groups, outdoor education and theoretical inputs and nature-based methodology.

Outcomes of the activity

- 22 participants equipped with key competences connected with valuing the potential of individuals and employability.
- non-formal workshops delivered by the participants within the course.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

My tasks during the team were: delivering sessions based on non-formal education methods, facilitating group discussion, preparing materials, facilitating evening activities, providing support for the participants etc.

I worked on this training for 7 days days as a full time trainer.
