TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Árpád Bárnai
The aims and objectives of the training were
to provide participants an experience of wholeness and of a complete life, by accepting their various limitations and at the same time overcoming them.
The target group of our workshop is adults over 30 who are unemployed and/or don't
have any kind of higher education. Who are open to new experiences, personal development, moving together, work in group processes and
willing to experience the meeting of cultures and views.
No previous dance knowledge/experience was necessary, but openness to experiment and move and of course enthusiasm!
We intended to create a program that makes it possible to experience as many things
as possible for our participants and we are going for the integration of all channels of
perception and for the use of most colorful toolset of expression. The whole process
moves from body awareness through the discovery of own movements towards the
authentic moving patterns and self-expression. Parallel we will experience the
connection to each other, the world of touching and the living of fullness of the self in a
group context.
Main themes of the days:
1. day: Forming of the group - Me and the Group
2. day: Body awareness work - Me and my Body
3. day: Body memory - Me and my Life
4. day: Authentic movements - Me in the Present
5. day: Relationships - Me and my Connections
6. day: Communication, self-expression - Me and the World
7. day: Living our fulfillment - My Dance
8. day: Planning and implementation - Project work
9. day: Steps leading to the goal - Presenting and evaluating the project
10. day: Integration, drawing conclusions, closing
We saw our participants to get a rich experience wich could form the base of a new selfimage,
more successful performing.
By the end of the training we experienced how creatively they acted (beyond their expectations), the new ways of self-expression they discovered, and that the joy, fulfillment and connection we created together supported them to take challenges they hadn't dreamt to take before.
