Cycle Up

Aims & objectives

The training course aimed to create awareness about environmental changes and sustainability. It aimed to show practical and useful methods about upcycling what can be easily be adapted in towards other countries as well.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Participants were youth workers and volunteers from different kind of associations and NGOs. The training course was open for people from Ukraine, Georgia, Hungary, Spain, Belorus and Czech Republic.

Training methods used & main activities

The main method what was used furing the program was the experimental learning - learning by doing. We have used different workshops, plenary talks, open space technique as well.

Outcomes of the activity

We have reached directly more than 100 local people in Georgia. Indirectly more than 500 through the partner organizations.
Participants have learned 5 different upcycling techniques. We have upcycled more than 100 m2 of cardboard, 200 tetrapaks, 100 magazines, etc.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was the head trainer, it means I was responsible about the quality of the program. I have lead several workshops. I gave lectures about design and the materials what we have worked with. I have lead the organiser team as well with briefings. I kept some of the plenary meetings and the reflections every day in the closing section.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
