Aims & objectives

The training was the second module of larger series Circus Transformation-trainings (CTF). The overall aim of the CTF is to develop the competences of the international Youth Circus trainers in the field of Social circus, circus as tool for social inclusion. The specific aim of the second module is: The trainee will be able to set adapted learning objectives, to design a social circus course, to plan pedagogical activities, and to document their preparation.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The 18 participants of the training came from all over the world from different Youth circus schools. Participants included people from South Korea, Palestine, USA, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Guadeloup, Germany, France and Czech Republic.

Training methods used & main activities

The whole training was based on non-formal methodology using for example games and activities like: Big ball of questions, Find your aims, Stage the social circus aims, Pull a challenge from the hat, Learning cafe, Building the arch of project, Catch the funder -game, Gallery walk, Feedback domino etc.

Outcomes of the activity

Based on the observations, discussions and mid-term and end feedback the training achieved well the aims set for it. The participants feedback was positive and many expressed how they had learned new things in the training.

We planned, implemented and evaluated the training with my training partner based on the aims and themes set us by the Caravan Circus Network

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
