Aims & objectives

The main aim of the training course was to promote and develop skills of the youth leaders, so that they are able to encourage participation and involvement of young people with disabilities in their own countries and in Europe. We came up with some strategies to increase the inclusion of youngsters with disabilities in European activities.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Youth workers, youth leaders, project managers, youth trainers, animators and volunteers from European countries with and without disability: Spain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Slovakia, Slovenia

Training methods used & main activities

Training Course provided specific non formal learning methods and personal development tools, that participants can use in their organizations and in their daily life to remove mental and physical barriers and to facilitate social inclusion of young people with disability.

Outcomes of the activity

TC provided space to share, transfer and experiment creative methods, which allow participants and their organization to involve young people with and without disabilities in their regular activities and in future in mixed-ability international youth projects.
