Aims & objectives

The theme of the TC is on the role of youth work and young people in promoting peace and reconciliation using art as a medium.
The objectives were:
- explore youth work as a tool for peace and reconciliation;
- explore the role of young people in society working for peace; development
of youth work practice;
- promote art as a medium for exploring
these issues.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The group of participants were between the age of 18 and 30, coming from Armenia, Georgia, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey and Moldova.
The composition of trainers team was done by Hranush Shahanazaryan (Armenia) and Nik Padisson (UK).

Training methods used & main activities

The working methods included theoretical interactive inputs, games, group building activities, small groups and pairs work, experiential learning, learning to learn, discussions, experimentation, sharing of experiences, art workshops.

Outcomes of the activity

The main implemented activities included the exploration of youth work from different countries in order to improve the youth work competencies of the participants. Throughout the project the role and influence that young people can have was investigated and especially the influence in a community where there is or has been conflict. The subject of peace building and reconciliation was explored.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Full team member, co-responsible for preparing, running and evaluating the course.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
